Jenkins Kindergarten Orientation & Screening 2025-2026

Jenkins welcomes our newest sharks to our school community!  As you prepare for kindergarten, students and families have two opportunities to visit our school this spring. 

Kindergarten Orientation

• When: Monday, May 5, 2025
• Time: 9:30-10:30 am
• Where: Jenkins Elementary
• Who: Rising kindergarten student and parent/guardian/caregiver
• Parking: In front and back parking lots, enter through the main entrance by the flag pole.  

What to Expect

• Meet Principal Oldach and Kindergarten Teachers
• Greeting from Jenkins PTO
• Slide Show of the kindergarten experience
• Rising kindergarten students will visit a classroom for a story and parents have Q&A session with Principal Oldach and Staff.

Kindergarten Screening

• When: Monday, May 12, 2025
• Where: Jenkins Elementary
• Sign up for a 30-minute time slot
• Link to sign up for a  screening time
• Parking: In front and back parking lots, enter through the main entrance by the flag pole.

What to Expect

• Screenings provide information on how best to meet the needs of your child .
• Student picture will be taken
• Student will work 1:1 with staff members while families wait
• Jenkins PTO “Kindergarten Signing Day” photo opp!
