“Blue Anchors” team will represent Jenkins at the Battle of the Books: June 9
Fifth graders have been hard at work with their school-based team reading books and preparing for the distinct-wide battle to determine which elementary school gets to house the Battle of the Books trophy for the next year. We are excited for fifth graders to bring their school pride, support, and enthusiasm to this friendly competition at the Performing Arts Center (PAC).
Jenkins Field Day 2025: June 10
Field Day 2025 will be a full day of fun in the sun with traditional games and new adventures planned by Mr. B., our Health and Wellness teacher.
- Please be sure that your student(s) wears their Fun Run t-shirt, brings a water bottle, and applies sunscreen before coming to school.
- Parents and guardians are welcome to volunteer. Sign Up Here.
- Volunteers must have an up-to-date CORI with the school. Call the Main Office at 781-545-4910 or email jenkinsoffice@scit.org to check on the status of your CORI.
- If you need to apply for a CORI, please do so as soon as possible as the process can take some time.
Celebrating Jenkins Fifth Graders! Class of 2032
In partnership with the Jenkins PTO, annual traditions celebrate our fifth graders as they step up to Gates Middle School:
- Class T-Shirt - Fifth graders receive a “Leaving Jenkins, Entering Gates” shirt with classmates' names on the back.
- Step Up Day - Fifth graders visit Gates, tour the school, and have lunch.
- Fifth Grade Farewell - This family event highlights each student as they walk across the stage and receive a certificate of accomplishment. Passing through the arch on the stage is a symbol of leaving Jenkins and entering Gates Middle School.
- Yearbooks - Each student receives a yearbook featuring individual photos of each student and group pictures through their kindergarten to fifth grade year at Jenkins.
A special lunch, photo posters and other memorable events create a special send off to our fifth graders, many of whom have been at Jenkins since kindergarten. Thank you to our many volunteers and donations that make these experiences possible!
